  1. It’s so hard to choose. There are so many good ones like The Front Line, Black Eagle, The Coast Guad, My way, Tae Guk Gi, and even military period pieces like War of Arrows but I suppose if I have to choose I would choose R-Point, because it scared me to death. I was afraid to drive home alone after watching it. And to this days it remains, in my mind, one of the scariest movies I’ve ever seen. But I absolutely love any South Korean film that deals with North Korea.

  2. Ha! Liz beat me to it. While there are many good dramas, the one that I favor most will always be the one that scared me-R-Point. War + ghosts= great horror!

  3. Winner would probably be 71: Into the Fire. Probably not the best, but knowing that this is part of the Battle of P’ohang-Dong and these students sacrifices was part of the turning point is incredibly moving.
For North Korea: Order No 027. Really cheesy, but an interesting look at the Kim Jong-un’s movie propaganda of the 80s.
