“Fatal Frame Zero” Live Action First Promotional Image Released!

Horror games fans take note, a feature film adaptation for the acclaimed survival horror series has been announced. Developed by Tecmo, the game series typically features exploration of traditional Japanese estates which are inexorably haunted by spirits. The player navigates the locale and has merely a Camera Obscura, an old fashioned camera which allows the player to capture spirits via the emulsion process, citing the old belief that taking a photograph would capture a person’s soul.

Not much in the way of info yet, but considering the Japanese horror roots of the game itself, there is a good possibility of this film being a video game adaptation that does not suck. Here’s to hoping!

Cast: Ayami Nakajo, Aoi Morikawa
