Kim Ki-duk’s Moebius Already Stirring Up Controversy



Acclaimed filmmaker Kim Ki-duk has submitted his latest film, Moebius, for Korean censors and it did not pass. Never one to shy away from controversy, the film as is, will not be eligible for showings in Korea unless a recut version is submitted. Considering the subject matter of his previous films, one can only imagine what sort of material earned him the rating, especially in Korea’s much more lax Korea Movie Rating Board of recent years. Winner of the Golden Lion from the Venice Film Festival, Kim’s other directorial efforts include: Bad Guy, Pieta, The Isle, and Spring, Summer, Winter, and Fall
