A new teaser has been released for the upcoming sequel to the successful film Rurouni Kenshin, released in 2012. The sequel find Kenshin navigating the world of the Meiji Restoration and encountering more remnants looking to throw the fragile peace of the country into disarray. The short teaser showcases a good bit of action and some good scale; the Kyoto fire rooftop run looks absolutely EPIC, and the hard hits and speedy movements seem intact from the last film. Best of all though is a shot of an unrecognizable Tatsuya Fujiwara as the vicious and calculating Shishio Makoto, probably one of my favorite manga villains period. Look for the main cast to return as well, including new addition Yusuke Iseya, Min Tanaka, Tao Tsuchiya, and Ryosuke Miura among others. Rurouni Kenshin: The Great Kyoto Fire Arc arrives in Japanese theatres Summer 2014.
